UserGems vs Champify vs Salesgear: job change tracking compared

UserGems vs Champify comes down to CRM and budget. UserGems works with Salesforce and HubSpot, bundles job change tracking into a wider signals and AI platform, and lists from $40,000 a year. Champify runs as a native Salesforce app, focuses on relationship tracking, and starts at $500 a month. Salesgear is the third option: it tracks job changes and champion moves on your own contact lists for 1 credit per contact per check and turns each move into a drafted email or sequence you approve. Pricing below is from each vendor’s site, checked October 2026.
All three answer the same question: when someone who already likes your product changes jobs, how fast do you find out, and what happens next? Where they differ is everything around that question, so this comparison walks through each one in the order a buyer usually asks.
TL;DR
- Pick UserGems if you run HubSpot or Salesforce, want job changes written into your CRM and routed automatically, and have budget for an annual platform with scoring, research and writing agents included.
- Pick Champify if you run on Salesforce, want relationship tracking that also mines calendars and call notes, and want to start smaller.
- Pick Salesgear if you want the signal, the draft and the sequence in the tool your reps already send from, priced per check instead of per year, and are fine handling moves on Salesgear contacts rather than through a CRM package.

Pricing: UserGems vs Champify vs Salesgear
UserGems
UserGems publishes three annual plans (pricing page):
| Plan | Price per year | Credits | Accounts covered | Implementation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $40,000 | 4,000,000 | 2,000 to 4,000 | $3,000 |
| Advanced | $75,000 | 10,000,000 | 4,000 to 10,000 | $5,000 |
| Elite | $150,000 | 25,000,000 | 10,000+ | $10,000 |
Every plan includes unlimited users, CRM and sales engagement integrations, scoring, automated campaigns, and writing and research agents. In practice buyers often pay less than list: Vendr’s marketplace data puts the median at $30,500 a year across 173 purchases (Vendr).
Champify
Champify lists monthly starting prices (pricing page):
| Plan | Starts at | Contacts tracked | Notable extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $500/mo | 5,000+ | 10 user calendars, unlimited Salesforce users, 2x ROI guarantee |
| Pro | $2,500/mo | 40,000+ | Executive new hires on 2,000+ accounts, dedicated GTM engineer |
| Enterprise | $5,000/mo | 150,000+ | AI nurture insights, CRM cleaning for 200,000+ contacts |

Salesgear
Salesgear prices tracking on credits from the same pool you use for emails and phone numbers. Basic is $49 a month for 1,200 credits, Pro is $99 a month for 4,000, and Pro Plus is $199 a month for 10,000 (pricing page). Champion moves and Job changes cost 1 credit per contact each time they are checked, found or not. A contact watched by both is looked up and charged once, and each tracker can have a monthly cap so the bill never surprises you.
What the same list costs on each
| Champions list, checked monthly | UserGems | Champify | Salesgear |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 contacts | From $40,000/yr list | From $500/mo (Lite covers 5,000+) | 1,000 credits/mo, inside Pro ($99/mo) |
| 5,000 contacts | From $40,000/yr list | From $500/mo | 5,000 credits/mo, inside Pro Plus ($199/mo) |
This is a list price comparison of the tracking alone. UserGems and Champify include services and features Salesgear does not, and the reverse is true for sequences and inbox, so compare the whole job you are buying.
CRM fit
This is often the deciding question.
- UserGems works with Salesforce and HubSpot. In HubSpot, it creates a new contact for each job change and sets a “No Longer at Company” property on the old one, which you can use to trigger workflows (UserGems help).
- Champify describes itself as a native Salesforce app. Its integrations page lists LinkedIn, Demandbase, 6sense and Marketo, but not HubSpot as a CRM (Champify integrations). If HubSpot is your system of record, confirm support before you go further.
- Salesgear handles moves on its own contacts, where your sequences run, and syncs contacts with HubSpot and Salesforce. It does not install a package that writes job change fields into your CRM.
What happens when a champion moves
The alert is the easy part. What matters is how many steps sit between the alert and a good email.
UserGems
UserGems tracks five groups: customer contacts, product users, closed lost contacts, open opportunity contacts and churned account contacts. When one moves, it creates a new record with their new company, title, email, phone and LinkedIn, links it to the original, flags the old record as no longer there, and routes the new contact to an outreach sequence based on your rules (UserGems).
Champify
Champify tracks relationships as people change jobs and sends Slack and email alerts. It also surfaces executive new hires at target accounts, pulls missing contacts and opportunity roles from calendar invites, and on higher plans uses call transcripts, emails and CRM data to suggest how to reengage (Champify). Reporting comes with 50+ prebuilt reports.
Salesgear
In Salesgear, you point the Champion tracker at your past customers list. Each move appears in your Signals feed as a plain sentence, with a drafted email to the person that references the move. You edit it and send it, or let an agent take the routine path: enroll them in a sequence after your approval, create a task for the owner, post to Slack, or add them to a list. For the account they left, Clean up marks the old contact as left, marks its old work email invalid, stops its sequences, and creates a linked contact at the new company; Find a replacement adds the person who holds the role now. Nothing sends on its own. Every draft waits for your OK.
What each one does not do
| Tool | Gaps to know about |
|---|---|
| UserGems | Highest entry price on this page; annual commitment plus a setup fee. |
| Champify | Built for Salesforce; HubSpot CRM support is not listed on its integrations page. |
| Salesgear | No CRM managed package or job change fields written to your CRM; no calendar or call transcript mining; scheduled checks (monthly or weekly), not continuous; no LinkedIn sending. |
Questions to ask on every demo
Vendor demos show the alert. Ask about everything after it. These seven questions separate a tool your reps will use from one that fills a Slack channel nobody reads:
- How do you match a person to their new company? Ask what happens with common names, contractors and people with two current roles. False moves cost you credibility with the person you email.
- How fast do I hear about a move? Ask for the typical gap between a profile update and the alert, and whether it differs for small companies.
- What exactly gets written to my CRM? New contact or edited contact? Which fields? Can I turn it off?
- What happens to the old record? Is it flagged, archived or left alone, and are running sequences stopped?
- Who writes the first email? A template, an AI draft, or nobody? Can a rep edit it before it goes?
- What does the bill look like if my list doubles? Get the price for twice your current list in writing.
- What happens at renewal? Notice period, auto renewal and price increase caps are worth knowing before you sign an annual plan.
Run a bake off before you sign
The fairest way to compare these three is on your own data. Export 200 people from your past customers list and give the same list to each tool you are trialing. After 30 days, check every reported move by hand and score each tool on three numbers: moves found that were real, real moves it missed, and how long it took to get from the alert to a sent email. The third number is the one most teams forget, and it is usually where the difference between tools shows up. A perfect alert that sits in a queue for two weeks loses to a good alert that becomes a draft the same morning.
While the trial runs, send the play one note to every real move, and log replies. That gives you a reply rate on champion outreach for your own market, which you can set against each tool’s price to see what a meeting costs.
Which should you choose?
| Your situation | Best fit |
|---|---|
| HubSpot CRM, budget for an annual platform, want automatic CRM records | UserGems |
| Salesforce CRM, want relationship tracking from calendars and call notes | Champify |
| Salesforce CRM, want to start under $1,000 a month | Champify Lite |
| Want each move turned into a draft and a sequence in the tool you send from | Salesgear |
| List under a few thousand people, small team, monthly budget | Salesgear |
Not sure you need a tool yet? Run the play by hand for a month first with these job change alert methods, and read the champion tracking playbook for what to send. If you want more options than these three, see the best UserGems alternatives in 2026.

Frequently asked questions
CRM fit and scope. UserGems supports Salesforce and HubSpot and bundles job change tracking with scoring, campaigns and AI agents in an annual plan. Champify is a native Salesforce app focused on relationship tracking, executive new hires and CRM cleaning, with monthly starting prices.
At list price, yes. As of October 2026 Champify starts at $500 a month for Lite, while UserGems starts at $40,000 a year for Core plus a $3,000 implementation fee. Vendr reports a median UserGems contract of $30,500 a year.
Champify describes itself as a native Salesforce app, and its integrations page does not list HubSpot as a CRM. HubSpot teams should confirm support with Champify before buying.
Salesgear tracks job changes and champion moves on your contact lists for 1 credit per contact per check and turns each move into a drafted email or sequence you approve. It does not install a CRM package or mine calendars, so it suits teams that want the signal and the outreach in one tool rather than CRM automation.
Not to start. LinkedIn Sales Navigator alerts, HubSpot job change signals or a monthly manual check of your champions list all work for small lists. A tool pays off once checking by hand takes more time than the moves are worth.
